FAQs
When should I replace my Existing AC Unit?
Ideally you should replace your system before it fails and you’re rushed to make a purchase decision. Luckily, there are signs of when to start looking:
- Your system is older than 10 years
- You notice a big increase in cost to run the unit
- Your unit requires regular refrigerant refills.
Repairs may be all that is needed, but it may be no longer practical to do so. We’ll always make our recommendations transparently.
What is SEER?
Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) is a rating that indicates your systems efficiency. The higher the number, the more efficient your unit is. Industry minimum is 13, but can reach as high as 21.
My A/C isn't working, what should I check before calling?
Before calling, check this simple list first. Check your batteries in your thermostat, check for a tripped breaker, make sure the system is on “cool”, change your air filter. If none of these issues are the cause of your problem, call us for a full checkup.
How often should I do AC Maintenance?
We usually recommend once a year, consider it spring cleaning! Regular preventative maintenance can extend the life of your unit.
